Icon art Production’s great team have supported I.M.Q-Immaqul'8 at all times. It started with our team walking into a video shoot. From the first instance we were very amazed at the work ethics, the amount of equipment we saw and the passion behind everything done at the Icon Studios. It was a great pleasure working with Zak and his team.

One thing that’s sure is that in life it is very hard to find people who are willing to believe in your little plans and are willing to take the time and effort to help and watch that little plan materialize. Especially when they can just focus on themselves and not bother about others. It was truly a great experience and pleasure to work with Zak and I call him Mr. Zee and his great team. We have been involved in a few projects together and while some have materialized, some we didn’t complete but yet (Icon art) Mr. Zee and his team have been there and are still more than willing to make things happen. That’s a true friend and a supporter that works with his art, heart, experience and SOUL.

As a new filmmaker, I happened to meet Zak from Icon Art Productions who gave me tremendous support for my first film. It was his passion towards building a film culture in the UAE and supporting start up filmmakers with crew and equipment that helped my project come to life.

I know that he paved the way for me to be confident about my work, and to keep doing what I love to do most, which is making movies. We are working together till date and I still have his support. I like to think that I have won an amazing filmmaker and film lover to my network and hope for a long-term collaboration with him and Icon Art.

To all new filmmakers, I think that the only way to make it is to keep making films. However, to do so, I believe that knocking on the right doors is the only way to make it all happen. Icon Art Productions helps and supports new filmmakers to start up, and for me it was one of the right doors I knocked on and now I have two films made with this kind of valuable and much needed support. Currently I am working on my first feature for which I know I will still get the same support I have always had from knocking on the right doors and Icon Art is one of them.

I think when Icon Art Production adopted my film “my hand” they acted professionally in a smart way and as part of their strategy for social corporate responsibility. They provided me with all the resources free just to make it happen and this is what is the difference between a production house and people who see the potential in people and believe in them. There are very few filmmakers who will support new talent, share their dreams and give them what they need during hard times so this initiative is something amazing, respected and it is done completely by Icon Art Production as it has happened in the past, at least with my project.

 

Lea is a little girl fighting cancer and her condition is very serious, She would die if we don’t find a stem cell match and to get a stem cell match was not difficult to find, but getting the funds was the most difficult process. How do you tell this to a mother whose daughter has a cure but does not have the money for the cure?

We prayed and asked for a solution and that’s when out of the blue I got a call from Zak from Icon Art Production saying he wants to make a documentary film about Lea that allows people to understand the exact situation and encourage people to forward the video link to help save her life.
 

The 5-minute documentary film was made and people came forward to contribute and together we saved Leas life. Lea is alive today as a happy, mischievous little girl. All because of the community support, along with Icon Art Production’s contribution that helped create the awareness of the situation. Together we can fight and overcome any challenge in life.
